Wandering Seminar

A mini-conference on Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems

Faculty of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, 2-5 March 2017

The most important places are marked on this map.

Accommodation

Participants of the workshop will mostly be accommodated in Dom Doktoranta and Dom Nauczyciela.

Communication

Tickets for public transport in Wroclaw cost 3 PLN for 30-minutes or for a single ride. Caution: though the price is the same, these are two different kinds of tickets. You may also consider buying a 72-hours ticket for 26 PLN. Some information can be found at http://www.wroclaw.pl/en/public-transport.

How to get to IMPAN villa at Kopernika street?
Take a bus 115 at Rondo Reagana (or Kliniki for residents of Dom Doktoranta) towards Wojnow. Step out of the bus at Park Szczytnicki and continue walking along Mickiewicza. At the next crossing turn left - this is the Mikolaja Kopernika street. After about 100 meters you will reach IMPAN villa.

Food

In the campus there are two places where you can buy lunch: Bazylia bar and students canteen (which is quite crowded), but there are some possibilities to eat in the surroundins of the campus - restaurants along Curie-Sklodowskiej (Greco, Crepe, Falafel, Bistro, Pobite Gary), Cynamon bar at the end of Norwida street, Pizza hut and a big mall (Pasaz Grunwaldzki) with one of the floors full with restaurants (mostly fast food type, but also some others).

About

Wandering Seminar is an initiative which aims at integrating ergodic theory and dynamical systems research groups in Poland. The idea is to organise mini-conferences/workshops a few times each year. These meeting are to be devoted to actual research topics in our area. Contrary to what the title suggests, this should be a recurring event, which only wanders geographically across Polish universities with dynamical systems research groups.
The workshop will be partially funded from the resources of WCMCS for small meetings.
